KEARNEY POSTS A SOLID RESULT FOR HUSQVARNA AT HATTAH
07/09/2012
The weekend of July7- 8 saw the North Western Victorian Motorcycle Club play host to Australia's legendary Hattah Desert race for 2012.

Event organizers added to the already challenging nature of the 2012 event by increasing the race distance to 8 laps of a 38 kilometre course including some tight technical sections through to high speed, top gear - full throttle sections.
Husqvarna Racing's Glenn Kearney and his Husqvarna TE 310 locked in a 13th position in Saturday's prologue. The horsepower sapping sandy conditions saw Kearney perform strongly to take his place amongst a field of predominately 450cc and larger capacity machines for Sunday's 300 plus kilometre race.
As a previous winner of the event Kearney was all too aware of what would be required to post a strong result and set about ensuring that he remained focused throughout the course of the day to continue to move up through the field eventually finishing in a solid 6th position. Both Kearney and the Husqvarna Racing team were extremely pleased with the result as the TE 310 continued its giant killing form as the only sub 450cc machine in the top ten.

Glenn Kearney: “Hattah has always been one of my favorite events, it's always tough and challenging and this year was no different. I think it's the different nature of the event compared to the enduro format that we normally race that adds to its appeal for me. The TE 310 was super strong all weekend, Joel and the team did a excellent job and it was great to see how well we went up against the larger capacity bikes in such open, fast conditions. Thanks again to Husqvarna, Paul Feeney Group and the 2012 season sponsors for all their support”.
