Gap to second position Jari Mattila was 25 seconds and Roni succeeded to record fastest time in six of the total eight special stages. In scratch Roni was 3rd after Markko Tarkkala and the swede Johan Carlsson.
"The day was great without any problems. Driving was easy and the bike performed magnificently. It was nice to see that my speed is there and this gives a lot of confidence to WEC series also. I hope I can keep up the same pace and speed also there" commented Roni straight after the race. His season continues in two weeks at the Turkish World championship race.
In the 125 class young Paavo Honkanen was also at good speed and the result was 3rd. "I feel great! Riding was good from the morning and I did not make any mistakes. Stages were fast and I could benefit a lot of the winter and spring training in Europe. Goal was to show my speed and confidence also to federation concerning coming Six Days event in Kotka and I succeeded in this great!"
