Andreas Lettenbichler finished in fifth place at the ninth edition of the Hell's Gate, which was held at Il Ciocco (LU) on Saturday.
Only 5 riders finished the extreme Enduro race, with Lettenbichler riding a Husqvarna WR250. After his sixth-place finish in the prologue of the morning, he always kept the fourth place catching up in some stages to the race's third positioned Webb.
On the last lap Lettenbichler lost too much time due to a crash, which cost him the qualification for the last lap, so he was only able to finish 5th overal.
"I felt very good with the bike and I'm happy with my race. Unfortunately on the last lap I crashed losing at least 5 minutes to recover the bike. The boys have worked really well and Husqvarna are satisfied with how things went at the first race of the season."
