At the end of every motocross season there is traditionally the MX of Nations which was held this year in St. Jean d'Angély in France. For the Italian team the Husqvarna factory rider Alessandro Lupino was nominated. Alessandro continued in France where he stopped at the last GP in Fermo Italy. A 6th place in the pre-qualifying practice and in the qualifying-race underlined again his very good personal form and the improved performance of his Husqvarna. On Sunday morning after the warm-up session everybody was amazed that Lupino was able to improve his 6th place from Saturday to a 5th place. So the whole Italian team hoped that the Husqvarna MX2 rider would end the season with a big bang. Sadly misfortune reached Alessandro Lupino again like so many times before in the 2011 season. In the first race he had to retire because a stone got between chain and pinion and destroyed his bike, in the second race he had a crash. With a little bit more luck and continuing the improvements it will be a really good season in 2012.
