Frenchman Pela Renet together with the Swedish based Bel-Ray Husqvarna Factory Racing Team have ensured that the new era of Husqvarna Motorcycles has begun with world championship winning success. Securing the ultra-competitive Enduro 2 World Championship title at the penultimate round of the 2014 EWC series in Italy, Renet’s victory continues Husqvarna long and successful racing tradition.
Racing success has been an important part of the Husqvarna brand. Establishing themselves as the pioneers of motocross with their triumphs during the sport’s golden era in the 60’s and 70’s, Renet’s 2014 title also extends Husqvarna’s list of illustrious Enduro World Championship achievements.
Pela Renet’s 2014 Enduro World Championship campaign delivered incredible levels of success for the Bel-Ray Husqvarna Factory Racing Team. Securing six victories and 12 podium results to date, along the way Renet also proved the premium quality of Husqvarna’s modern day enduro machinery.
Entering the penultimate round of the series in Lumezzane, Italy with a 34-point Enduro 2 championship lead, Renet simply needed to deliver two consistent results to secure the coveted E2 title. Placing second on day one before securing third on day two, Renet ensured a winning start for the new era of Husqvarna Motorcycles.
