The world of motocross arrived
at halfway with the seventh race held in Spain. Husqvarna Ricci Racing got the
team's best result to date by placing 12th Lupino and
Leib 14th in the second race.
Lupino unfortunately had bad starts and had to fight his way
back up the order into the top fifteen. In race 1 he finished in
thirteenth place, while in race 2 he came back from 24th position on the first
lap to finish 12th, performing the best recovery among all riders.
Bad luck for Leib that in race 1 had to withdraw when he could not
restart his bike after a mistake while in 15th position. The American rider had
lost a lot of time in trying to restart it and preferred to return to the pits.
Lupino is 14th in the overall standings, just 4 points
behind 13th place. The next MX2 world championship race will take place on the
3rd of July in Sweden.
