Having got the hole-shot, Goncalves led for much of the race, before being passed by Dutch rider and eventual race winner Hans Vogels near the end.

It was also a good result for team-mate David Fretignè, who finished fifth on his TE310 for Team Husqvarna Monster Energy speedbrain, just behind another Husqvarna rider - German Denis Schroter - of the Husqvarna Zupin Team.
