HUSQVARNA MOTORCYCLES EXTEND SUPPORT FOR HUSQVARNA JUNIOR RACING MADDII

ITALIAN TEAM TO CONTINUE FOCUSING ON HUSQVARNA’S JUNIOR RIDER DEVELOPMENT

Husqvarna Motorcycles are pleased to announce the signing of a new agreement with Maddii Racing, which will see team Husqvarna Junior Racing Maddii continue to receive official material and technical support from Husqvarna Motorcycles throughout the 2020 racing season.

Husqvarna Junior Racing Maddii will field two riders in 2020 – Italians Alberto Forato and Mattia Guadagnini. Forato, who finished third in the 2019 EMX250 championship with five moto wins to his credit, will step up to MX2 class competition while 2019 FIM 125cc Junior Motocross World Champion and 2019 FIM European Motocross Championship EMX125 title winner Mattia Guadagnini will compete in the EMX250 class in 2020.

Following several decades of high-level motocross team management, focusing exclusively on junior rider development in recent years has brought notable success for Team Maddii, highlighted by Mattia Guadagnini’s 2019 world and European titles.

Diego Clément – Motorsport Manager at Husqvarna Motorcycles: “We are extremely pleased to be continuing our support of the Husqvarna Junior Racing Maddii team. Alongside our Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing programme, junior rider development is hugely important to us. Supporting Marco as he continues to work with talented young racers, helping them progress and learn, allows Husqvarna to extend its presence and support of world and European championship motocross. Both Alberto Forato and Mattia Guadagnini have shown that they are highly talented. Benefiting from the knowledge and experience within the Husqvarna Junior Racing Maddii team, we are confident that both will continue to improve and develop in 2020 and beyond.”

Marco Maddii – Husqvarna Junior Racing Maddii: “Continuing our official association with Husqvarna Motorcycles is extremely pleasing, we are hugely appreciative of their support of our vision of working with younger riders. As a team we have enjoyed many great moments in 2019 and much success. This success motivates us to continue what we are doing as both Alberto and Mattia move forward into more competitive championships in 2020.”
