Husqvarna Motorcycles now has the answer for every young rider who wants to make the leap from pedal to motorised power. The launch of the all-new Husqvarna Motorcycles EE 1.20 by STACYC^TM means there is an electric balance bike in the line-up for every child up to 12 years old under 52 kg. The previously introduced EE 1.12 and EE 1.16 already meet the challenge for the youngest learner riders.

Some children might find it tricky getting to grips with a motorised minicycle. With the Husqvarna Motorcycles EE 1.12, EE 1.16 and new EE 1.20 by STACYC^TM, young enthusiasts will quickly and easily learn how to control a twist throttle on electric balance bikes. The powered two-wheel journey starts with the EE 1.12, then the EE 1.16 takes them further, faster, while the arrival of the EE 1.20 closes the gap to larger, quicker machinery.

With weight relative to a BMX bike, and the eliminated need for pedalling, young riders gain the ability to learn bike handling skills while in motion, accelerating confidence early on. Although footrests are in place for support, riders will find themselves easily able to touch the ground comfortably. All of these fun benefits facilitate young riders wanting to ride longer than on a traditional pedal bike.

Husqvarna Motorcycles EE 1.12

The Husqvarna Motorcycles EE 1.12 is the perfect choice for kids with little experience on a balance bike. Children should have an inseam of 35 cm or more to adequately touch the ground with a slight bend in the knees for optimum sizing. They can learn to push, balance, and coast in the non-powered mode and graduate to the powered mode as they show proficient use and understanding of the brake and the ability to coast and brake while standing. Starting with a speed similar to what they can push the non-powered version at, they learn the use of the twist throttle. As they continue to develop skills, the medium speed of the EE 1.12 allows for an exceptional amount of fun outdoors, providing thousands of hours of hand-eye coordination, balance, and outdoor exercise.

Husqvarna Motorcycles EE 1.20

All of the necessary skills that form the basis of powered two-wheeler riding can be honed on the Husqvarna Motorcycles EE 1.20. Once satisfied children can push, balance and coast with the power off, it is time to switch on the 36 V motor to work on throttle control and go feet up on the tapered footrests.

The Low/Training power mode caps top speed at a manageable 16 km/h, and at just 15 kg, the EE 1.20 is light enough to push and lift. Provided the young rider has an inseam of 60 cm or more, they will be able to get both feet on the ground.

As confidence and control develop, there are two quicker power settings, topping out at 32 km/h in the High/Advanced mode. Hydraulic brakes front and rear guarantee safe, composed stopping, while Innova pneumatic tyres on 20” wheels provide confident grip as the young rider masters their machine.
