Team USA has called upon RJ Hampshire as a late addition to its lineup for the 2025 FIM Motocross of Nations (MXoN), to be staged at Ironman Raceway from October 3-5. Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing's Hampshire has been exceptional since stepping up to the Husqvarna FC 450 Factory Edition ahead of the Pro Motocross Championship this season, in which he finished fifth in the final 450MX standings. Hampshire continued that form in the SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX) Playoffs and Final, climbing to seventh position following another convincing showing during the post-season. Just over one week out from the Nations returning to American soil, Hampshire has been drafted into Team USA as a replacement rider and is incredibly excited for the opportunity to compete in the Open category at home. It will be the 29-year-old's second time representing his country in the historic international event, adding to his appearance in 2023 at Ernée, France. "I am really excited for the chance to represent our great country on home soil!" Hampshire commented. "I may not have been the first pick, but I’ll always answer the call, and you know I’ll give it everything I’ve got. Ironman is one of my favorite tracks and we’ve still got a strong team ready to go – see you all next weekend!" Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing is proud to provide its full support to Hampshire and Team USA in a bid to reclaim the Chamberlain Trophy in Indiana. The United States last won the MXoN in 2022 when it was staged at RedBud. "It’s such an honor when one of the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing athletes are selected for MXoN," explained Nathan Ramsey, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Team Manager. "RJ is a perfect choice to represent the USA, as well as our team. He will no doubt give it everything he has to get the job done and we are more than happy to support him and Team USA!"

By Kenneth Olausson The epidemic moped flue in the 1950s resulted in big sales volumes for Husqvarna. By 1954, the Swedes had sold 25,000 units. Mind you, the first batch of the Novolette was a mere transporter and did not appeal to youngsters. Hence, the marketing folks came up with the idea to flirt with the up-and-coming generation to boost turnover. And what better way was there than appealing to those representing the future? Manufactured in red and silver, this frightful beast had the ability to do 30 km/h. That was the law, and it gave every young man - no, there weren't any females owning this wonder machine - an incentive to circumvent the rules and tune the power source into oblivion. Meaning the "Blöjpilen" would do speeds up to 40 km/h, occasionally 45 km/h.

    Catch of the year

By Kenneth Olausson On a murky autumn day in 1980, a Swedish photographer made a highly unusual discovery. Getting rid of his waste in a nearby recycling area, Ludde De Geer found a huge batch of photos in the form of old glass-negatives. It took him 25 years and some new technology to save his ‘catch of the year’. Among the shots was an epic Christmas show Husqvarna photograph from 1934…
