P2 podium celebrations for Malcolm Stewart at Salt Lake City Supercross finale

Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing and Malcolm Stewart celebrated a well-earned second-place result at the final round of the 2025 AMA Supercross Championship in Salt Lake City tonight, with a consistently strong series resulting in him claiming P4 in the final 450SX standings. RJ Hampshire, who entered the round in title contention, placed third in the 250SX East series.

Stewart rode his Husqvarna FC 450 Factory Edition to the fifth-fastest 450SX qualifying time inside Rice-Eccles Stadium, before putting up an immense challenge for the Heat Race victory, coming up just shy of the checkered flag in second position.

Come the Main Event, Stewart would methodically climb his way into P2 on what was a dry, difficult racetrack, fending off challenges from behind to successfully capture a podium score to conclude the 2025 season.

Stewart pieced together an outstanding performance across the 17-round Supercross schedule, which included a breakout first-career premier class victory in Tampa, alongside a further two podium results in Birmingham and Utah.

After challenging for a podium in the championship toward the latter stages of the series, Mookie would conclude his season in a confidence-inspiring fourth place overall.

"Tonight was awesome," commented Stewart. "These last few weeks at altitude have been solid for us, and when I got into second position tonight for a split second I couldn’t hear my motorcycle – these fans were so loud! It was a great race for me, we did everything that we could, and I’m just stoked to end this championship with a second-place finish. We made a lot of progress this year, because last year we were coming back from injury and I was just overthinking things. Tampa really turned things around for me with having the confidence of being able to run at the front, so all-in-all, I'm really happy and excited to go racing outdoors.”

For Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing teammate Hampshire, last year's 250SX West Class Champion entered Salt Lake City with a chance at claiming the Eastern Division title, and began the day by posting the fifth-quickest qualifying time overall.

A fall while running P2 in his Heat Race sent Hampshire to the LCQ, where he would take the win and seal a place in the Main Event. After a hard charge from just outside the top 10, the number 24 would make his way up into title contention onboard his Husqvarna FC 250 Factory Edition.

An untimely late crash while challenging for position with five minutes remaining on the clock unfortunately put an end to RJ's title hopes at that point, remounting to finish in sixth, which placed him third overall in the final point-standings.

"Today was a very eventful day," reflected Hampshire. "I felt good on the bike, then the Heat Race didn’t go so well after having a big one that sent me to my first LCQ in a couple of years. That’s always stressful, so then the outside gate pick for the Main gave me an average start, but I put my head down and charged. I had a chance for the championship at the end there and I went for it, which didn’t go in my favor and it's unfortunate to take us both down. Overall, I did everything I could, I tried, and we’ll leave here and move on – I'm looking forward to this next chapter of my career."

Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing's Ryder DiFrancesco races to Denver podium

Ryder DiFrancesco and Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing raced to an impressive third-place result at Round 16 of the AMA Supercross Championship in Denver tonight, where 450SX teammate Malcolm Stewart claimed P4 inside Empower Field at Mile High. DiFrancesco was in form from the outset at altitude in Colorado, posting the third-fastest qualifying time via a 51.562s lap time, before powering his Husqvarna FC 250 Factory Edition to second place in 250SX West Heat 2. A strong start to the Main Event saw the Californian run fifth on the opening lap, before climbing to third during the race's early stages. From there, Ryder D maintained a measured pace to secure third place on the podium – his third of the 2026 SMX World Championship season. DiFrancesco currently holds fourth in the 250SX West championship standings – only one point out of P3 overall and within reach of second – with a single Supercross round remaining next weekend in Salt Lake City. “It was a good night in Denver,” reflected DiFrancesco. “The main goal these last couple of weeks is to get to P2 – obviously the championship is wrapped up, so second would be ideal. Tonight, once I got into third, there wasn't much more that I could do, so I just brought it home from there. It was a good night and now we'll go to Salt Lake, try to stack some points, and go for second in the championship." Meanwhile, Stewart qualified 11th in 450SX, before a challenging Heat Race onboard his Husqvarna FC 450 Factory Edition sent him to the Last Chance Qualifier, where the 33-year-old took the win to transfer into the Main Event. An ongoing battle throughout the Main Event saw Stewart charging forward inside the top 10 as the race progressed, with a sequence of decisive late-race passes seeing him climb to fourth position, and he maintains eighth in the 450SX standings. “Every time we come to Denver, the track is tough,” Stewart reflected. “There was a lot going on in that race – you could've thrown a blanket over all of us! There was a lot of carnage, but at the end of the day, I guess Christmas came in May for me for a fourth! We've just got to continue moving forward. I struggled a little bit tonight and went to the LCQ, which I haven't been to in a minute, but we just tried to ride our race [in the Main Event] and get it done." Daxton Bennick and Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing earn Philadelphia 250SX podium

A second-place result in a rain-affected Philadelphia round of the 2026 AMA Supercross Championship marked a second podium of the year for Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing's Daxton Bennick, excelling in difficult, muddy conditions to maintain third in the 250SX East standings. The 20-year-old qualified third on the combined 250SX East timesheets in dry conditions at Lincoln Financial Field, before the inclement weather arrived and made for a rain-soaked night program. Bennick remained consistent in the second 250SX Heat Race, recording a second-place finish onboard his Husqvarna FC 250 Factory Edition. A mid-field start to the Main Event saw Bennick make a sequence of decisive passes to climb into the top-five during the early stages, running as high as P2 – and challenging for the lead – before a red-flag stoppage prompted a staggered restart. Bennick would launch to a strong start from there, moving into second place and maintaining the position all the way to the checkered flag, claiming his second podium result of the season and consolidating third in the 250SX East standings with one round in the division remaining. “Obviously, qualifying started dry here and everything was feeling good,” Bennick reflected. “Then everything changed real quick! I did get some wheel-spin off the start in the Heat Race, but rode really good to come back to second – I was happy with that, and then kind of the same thing happened in the Main Event. I rode really well before the restart and I almost passed for the lead at one stage, but once the restart hit, I was trying a little too hard and made a couple of mistakes. But all-in-all, it's good we're back on the box, so I can't be too mad at it – especially in those conditions!" 450SX teammate Malcolm Stewart posted the eighth-fastest qualifying time in the afternoon, before scoring a P4 finish in the first 450SX Heat Race equipped with his Husqvarna FC 450 Factory Edition. The 33-year-old started inside the top 10 for the Main Event and kept pushing forward as the race progressed. He would eventually record a P11 result and continue holding eighth in the championship with two rounds left to contest. “We struggled a little bit with the track tonight,” said Stewart. “But at the end of the day, it's just good to make it out of this in one piece because those conditions were brutal – we'll keep our heads up and keep progressing forward. We're off to Mile High next weekend, and we've always achieved some pretty good results there, so I'm looking forward to that!" Rockstar Energy Husqvarna’s Daxton Bennick claims fourth in Cleveland Triple Crown

Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing rider Daxton Bennick claimed a convincing fourth-place finish in 250SX East at the Cleveland Triple Crown on Saturday afternoon, as 450SX teammate Malcolm Stewart raced to seventh overall at Round 14 of the 2026 AMA Supercross Championship. Faced with a technical Huntington Bank Field track layout, Bennick powered his Husqvarna FC 250 Factory Edition to the third-fastest qualifying time despite battling a stomach bug throughout the round. The 20-year-old opened the night with a strong P3 result in the first 250SX outing, before adding fifth to his score in Race 2 as the weather intensified. In the third and final race, Bennick delivered another spirited ride to finish third, securing a well-earned fourth overall. With two races remaining, Bennick sits third in the 250SX East standings. “Qualifying was dry in Cleveland and I felt like I rode pretty well,” reflected Bennick. “The first race was also dry and I was third, but then it rained really heavily in the second one, which made conditions probably the worst that they were. I didn’t start well in that one, but got back to fifth, and then the third race I was P3, but in the end it was a little short of the podium. Overall, I'm excited for next weekend!" Stewart began the day in positive fashion at the third Triple Crown event of the year, qualifying third on the combined 450SX timesheets while displaying strong pace onboard his Husqvarna FC 450 Factory Edition. Race 1 saw the 33-year-old launch to a strong start and run at the front of the field as he battled among the leaders, climbing to an impressive fourth-place finish by race’s end and continuing his front-running form. Sixth in Race 2 was followed by a slow start to the third and final Triple Crown race, where Stewart braved challenging conditions to claim 12th position, and deliver seventh overall to maintain eighth in the standings with three Supercross rounds remaining on the schedule. “The vibes were high in Cleveland – the crowd was awesome!” said Stewart. “Qualifying was great for me, and then of course we had the Triple Crown with the weather beginning to roll in. I felt really good in Race 1, and then in the second one, I started making some mistakes, with the third one being pretty sloppy after the rain. I lost the flow in Race 3, but we brought it home in seventh overall, and we’ll look at improving next weekend!” Next Race: April 25 – Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Results 450SX Class – Cleveland 1.
