Motor
Delivering the best combination of power and weight, the TE 250 engine is a firm favorite with enduro riders. With the introduction of Throttle Body Injection (TBI) for 2024, the engine delivers improved torque while maintaining its high-revving two-stroke character. Designed to be more compact to reduce overall weight, a total saving of over 2.6 lb (1.2 kg) when compared to the previous generation underlines the ongoing development of this popular machine. Additionally, the shaft arrangements inside the TE 250 engine are precisely positioned for greater mass centralization while a counter balancer shaft reduces vibration.
Cilindro
With the introduction of Throttle Body Injection (TBI) on the TE 250, the 66.4 mm bore cylinder now features an innovative electronic exhaust control system that manages the opening of the lateral exhaust ports after the main exhaust port opens for maximum power delivery. Together with a machined finish on the upper contour of the exhaust port ensuring accurate port timing, unrivalled engine performance is assured.
Cuerpo de aceleración
La TE 250 utiliza un cuerpo de aceleración de 39 mm con inyectores dobles colocados para optimizar el flujo y conseguir una respuesta del acelerador más inmediata y una excepcional facilidad de conducción. El ralentí se controla mediante la válvula de mariposa, con un inyector de baja carga y otro de alimentación superior que garantizan el máximo rendimiento. Además, un nuevo sensor de posición de la válvula de mariposa (TPS) ofrece un fiable arranque en frío con la válvula del acelerador pivotando ahora sobre cojinetes de bolas para una acción más suave del acelerador.
Depósito de aceite
An electronic oil pump feeds vital 2-stroke oil into the engine. It is located just below the oil tank and feeds the oil via the reed cage, meaning the oil is only mixed with air at this stage. The pump is controlled by the EMS and delivers the optimal amount of oil according to the current RPM and engine load. The oil tank is connected to a filler hose which runs through the upper tube of the frame to a filler cap conveniently located for easy refills.
Cárter
Designed to be low in weight without sacrificing strength or reliability, the new crankcases are made using a high-pressure die-cast production process to create a thin-wall design. To centralise engine mass, the shaft arrangements are precisely positioned to harness rotating masses at the ideal centre of gravity.
Escape
Adaptado específicamente a la TE 250 mediante un innovador proceso de diseño en 3D, el colector garantiza un rendimiento sin restricciones y ofrece una mayor distancia al suelo para reducir el riesgo de sufrir daños por impactos. El silenciador también cuenta con un soporte de fijación de aluminio y una avanzada construcción interna para una amortiguación del ruido y un ahorro de peso excelentes.
