Exhaust system

Designed from lightweight aluminium, the exhaust system on the FC 250 Rockstar Edition features a flow-designed resonance chamber that is integrated into the header pipe. The silencer has a short and compact design, delivering impressive power output while keeping decibels as low as possible.

Factory wheel set

For unrivalled durability, the hubs used on the Factory Wheel Set are CNC-machined from forged aluminium then anodised black for a true race team look. The hubs are then laced to black D.I.D. DirtStar rims with high quality spokes to create a strong, lightweight wheel set. The reduction in unsprung weight contributes to improved overall handling.

Improving front wheel stability, the Factory CNC Machined Triple Clamps are designed to ensure unrestricted suspension performance courtesy of the optimally tuned steering stem and perfect fork alignment. Customised ergonomics can also be achieved with two offset options - 20 mm and 22 mm - allowing for a personalised set-up. Additionally, the new bar clamp can be rubber mounted to reduce vibrations or fitted without for enhanced rider feedback.

Second to none when it comes to function and style, the ProTaper handlebar is lightweight and incredibly strong. The carefully selected bar bend reduces pressure points on the rider's hands with soft compound ODI lock-on grips offering additional comfort.

Featuring a capsulated air spring and pressurised oil chamber, the new WP XACT 48 mm split air fork delivers incredible performance. With oil and air bypasses reducing pressure peaks, in combination with a mid-valve damping system the fork provides exceptional feedback and rider comfort. A new hydrostop system creates a more progressive damping force in the last 40 mm of travel for improved bottoming resistance.

Shock

The fully redesigned WP XACT rear shock is 15 mm shorter and weighs 100 grams less compared to its predecessor, yet the rear wheel travel remains unchanged at 300 mm. Matched to a revised linkage system designed with new geometry, the shock offers progressive damping and superior energy absorption.

Frame

Black powder coated for a true race team look, the new hydro-formed, laser-cut, and robot-welded steel frame is expertly crafted. Constructed with specifically calculated parameters of longitudinal and torsional flex, the chassis delivers exceptional rider feedback, and straight-line stability. Larger, all-new footrests are mounted closer to the centre of the motorcycle, which helps prevent them from catching on the ground through deep ruts and slowing forward momentum. Additionally, the FC 250 Rockstar Edition features a new polyamide skid plate to protect the frame and engine from hard impacts.

With the help of computational dynamics specific rigidity has been engineered into the light and robust subframe, which enhances handling and rider comfort.

Further accentuating the revised flex characteristics from the new chassis, a new 22 mm rear axle has been fitted. Cylinder head

Optimal performance is guaranteed from the revised DOHC cylinder head thanks to the DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coated finger followers minimising friction. These actuate the large titanium valves (32.5 mm intake, 27.5 mm exhaust) and introduce the fuel/air mixture into the combustion chamber to create efficient, best-in-class power throughout the 14,000-rpm rev range. Further updates include new valve timings adapted to the new valve measurements, which work in perfect unison with the redesigned camshaft.

Cylinder & piston

Redesigned for improved performance and reliability, the new 81 mm bore cylinder houses a bridged-box type piston made by CP, which weighs only 150 grams. Professionally engineered from high strength aluminium, both components achieve the lowest possible weight without sacrificing durability. The stroke has been revised to be 48.5 mm with the compression ratio increased to 14.5:1 for added torque and peak performance. Completing the revisions, the inlet port on the CFD optimised combustion chamber is smaller to create a more responsive power delivery.

Gearbox

Manufactured by Pankl Racing Systems, the new 5-speed gearbox is designed to be lightweight while maintaining its proven durability. For 2022, a new Quickshift sensor is positioned on the shift drum, which ensures smooth upshifts, even when the engine is under heavy load. A low-friction coating on the shifting fork further enhancing positive gear changes. Optimal power delivery from the engine is guaranteed at all times thanks to an advanced sensor that selects specific engine maps dependant on the gear selected.

DS clutch

Featuring a single diaphragm steel pressure plate instead of traditional coil springs, the Diaphragm Steel (DS) clutch installed on the FC 250 Rockstar Edition is unique in design and faultless in performance . Complete with a CNC-machined steel clutch basket, the single-piece component allows the use of thin steel liners and contributes to the compact layout of the engine.

Class leading Brembo brakes deliver the highest level of controllable stopping power on the FC 250 Rockstar Edition. A 260 mm floating front disc and 220 mm wave rear disc instils confidence in the rider and allows for late braking into turns, which reduces lap times. Easy Shift

The new Quickshift function (upwards only) can be activated or deactivated via the handlebar-mounted Map Select Switch. It works by a sensor on the shift drum sending a signal to the ECU when it registers a gear change, which momentarily interrupts the ignition for a fraction of a second. This allows for a smooth upshift even with the throttle fully open.

Map switch

Handlebar mounted for quick and easy operation, the redesigned Map Select Switch allows for either of the two preset engine maps to be selected. With separate buttons for engaging launch and traction control, as well as one to activate the new Quickshift functionality, the performance of the FC 250 Rockstar Edition is fully customisable via the Map Select Switch.
